Well, we have
gotten our asses in gear and have started playing shows again. We
just played with our friends, 43,
at Club Nowhere at the Wonderbar. It was an awesome show all around.
43 went off, just giving it all
they had and the crowd loved it. The Wonderbar is a cool joint on
La Cienega between Venice Blvd. and Washington. We are playing there
again on November 3rd. We got a good gig up with 43
in their hometown of Paso Robles. It will be an off the hook show.
We are totally looking forward to playing up there. We always have a great
time with 43.
Our friend
Lisa has been helping us book shows and helping us with promotions, and
I would like to thank her. Without her busting my chops, we would
not have been able to play these recent and upcoming shows. Lisa
has been working on her own project. The band is called Chromazone,
which you can check out here: Chromazone
I don’t want
to whammy them but, I want to say that I am extremely proud of DEPSWA and
am entirely stoked for them and hope that they make it all the way.
I got a chance to see them at the Troubadour not long ago and was blown
away. Those guys really got it going on. Good luck to you guys!
We have started
the next writing phase and have about 8 songs started and 3 halfway completed.
The music is a bit different from the last batch of stuff and is interesting
to write and fun to work on. I have decided to try some new techniques
during the writing process that seem to be working out. We should
start rehearsals on the new stuff at the beginning of the year (I was aiming
for the end of November, but a few set backs have happened). I will
post a new song on MP3.com when there is something worth listening to.
We are still
working on the T-shirt thing and mixing the first album. Tom has
been in charge of the mixing and we are waiting for him to finish up.
From what I understand, it is almost completed. As soon as it is
mixed, etc., we will be selling it at the shows and online.
I don't have
much else to say so I will shut up now. Come to the shows and I will
see you there.
